For over 20 years The Skinny Little Twits have opened for national acts and have headlined concerts for various cities, festivals, fairs, corporations, casinos, and venues throughout California.
Based out of the Santa Clarita and San Fernando Valleys, The Skinny Little Twits were founded in 1991 by singer/songwriter Mike Pieper and other “honorary” Twits. Writing and singing together outside a local coffee shop they created original music with influences including the Eagles, Doobie Brothers and Eric Clapton.  It was only at the persistent request of the coffee shop owner to have them come inside and perform that, the “band” was formed. Following that first performance the “band” needed a name. Mike, after looking at his rather large and intimidating co-writer humorously stated “we are just a bunch of Skinny Little Twits”. It was at these early coffeehouse shows where the bands ongoing signature melodic four-part harmonies were developed.

In 1997, the band took on a more permanent direction with the addition of vocalist/guitarist Rich Mortlock (formerly with Atlantic Records and a Musicians Institute graduate). With his remarkable vocal range and song writing abilities The Skinny Little Twits released two all original CD’s “The Skinny Little Twits” and “To the Rescue”. Rich is often complimented by clients and fans for his amazing vocal ability and energetic stage performances.

During this period the band’s popularity continued to increase substantially. After several personnel changes, dynamic lead guitarist/vocalist Paul Standel was introduced to the band. Paul is well-known for his energetic, audience engaging stage presence, authentic lead guitar solos, and gritty raw vocal performances.

In 2012 Curt Harding a lifelong multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and songwriter with extensive performance experience enhanced The Skinny Little Twits line-up on bass guitar and keyboards. Curt is an accomplished bassist, solid rock vocalist and classically trained pianist.

Most recently drummer Kelly King joined The Skinny Little Twits family. Kelly is rooted deeply in Rock, R&B, Country, and Jazz. Kelly is a mainstay of the Los Angeles music scene. His performing, recording, & video credits include; Rihanna, Macy Gray, George Lynch (Dokken, Lynch Mob), Phil Collen (Def  Leppard), and many other respected and accomplished artists. Kelly has toured domestically and internationally with a variety of well-known bands.  Always striving for excitement and passion, Kelly's sensitivity on the drums make him a perfect fit for this great band!

For over 20 years and counting this dynamic group of professionals have come together to create an entertainment experience that you won’t soon forget. To date, The Skinny Little Twits are recognized as one of Southern California’s best tribute bands and continue to entertain large enthusiastic crowds with their trademark “Ultimate Tribute to the Legends of Rock”.
